The Internet voted one of our sites as the weirdest on the internet. So we went to New York to do something even weirder.
We didn't want to make a big deal of winning a Webby award, but we do like flying 3,500 miles for an international prank. Like the one in our acceptance speech in New York.
But first, a few facts about our trip across the Atlantic:
- Street vendor food is morish like crack.
- Helicopter rides are high on our bucket list.
- Barcade is awesome.
Which brings us to the Webbys, which were awarded over the weekend. Digital creatives are awarded separately by judges and the public, and we won the public vote for 'weird' with Vine vs Instagram. Yep, weird.
Our acceptance speech had to match it. But seriously: was this really the weirdest thing on the entire internet?
Have you really never seen a big floating hand that judges people?

The Webbys have a thing where your acceptance speech has to be five words long. To creatives who win the award, that's a challenge you can't turn down. There were some great examples by the likes of M&C Saatchi and Breakfast. With competition like that, we had to try something different.
We went out on the streets of New York, found the first person we could find with awesome hair, and got them to say the only thing they could say:
